How many residents are there per home?
The homes consist of private and shared suites with a maximum of 16 residents.
 
What does it mean that you are a “faith based” home?
We are founded upon treating others as Jesus would with respect and honor to all faiths. We want to meet and support any religious or spiritual needs you may have during all stages of life.
 
Do I have to bring my own furniture?
An armoire and traditional twin bed is provided for each room. We do however encourage you to bring your own personal bed, furniture, decorations and chair for the family room. We want the atmosphere to feel as much like home as possible.
 
What kind of staffing is there at OSL?
We are owned/operated by nurses and each home is staffed 24/7 with qualified caregivers and STNA’s. We have a very low caregiver ratio allowing for residents to always receive personalized care alongside our nursing staff.
 
What services can come into the home?
Monthly massages will be available to the resident, as well as a hair cut/style. We have a general Nurse Practitioner that comes weekly, a Pysch Nurse Practitioner, a Wound Care Nurse Practitioner, as well as Skilled Home Care (nursing and therapies), Hospice, Podiatry, Audiology, Dentistry, and Optometry.
 
When are visiting hours in the home?
We do not restrict visiting hours or visitors as this is considered our residents home. We do however recommend 8am-8pm and highly encourage visitors!
 
Do you accept Medicaid?
We do accept the AL Medicaid Waiver after an agreed upon time of private pay. We offer all-inclusive peace of mind pricing for the monthly fee, that includes meals, care, medication management, massages, haircuts, activities, etc. You have the comfort in knowing your monthly rate for care will not increase regardless of your loved ones needs.
 
What kind of activities are provided at Optimized Senior Living?
We take a personalized approach for each resident. A monthly schedule of activities are planned, and offer things such as art, gardening, musical guests, bingo, jewelry making, and so much more!! We also engage one on one when group activities aren't desirable. We also have numerous volunteers that visit our community.
 
How are medications managed?
Medications are managed by the nursing team and providers at OSL. We utilize an EMAR and work closely with our pharmacy to ensure accuracy of all medications.
